The ground plan of the Kurhaus dates back to 1539. When the famous Wildbad Kurhaus was later built, the surrounding walls of the historic building were retained. Around the 1900s, the Kurhaus was the centrepiece of Friedrich Hessing's bathing and spa hotel. Guests could take advantage of their spa treatments here and board and lodging were also provided.
